Amazon Business Brings AI Spend Visibility Tools to Spanish Procurement Teams

Amazon Business now offers Prime Business customers in Spain some new artificial intelligence-powered features, according to a Monday (July 13) press release translated by Google.

The features help purchasing, finance and operations managers see how their organization buy, as well as take action when there are discrepancies, the release said. The features are part of the company’s Spend Visibility and Irregular Spending Monitoring tools.

The Spend Visibility tool now features dashboards that allow purchasing teams to visualize purchasing patterns, track savings over time, understand spending with local suppliers and small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and compare purchases against company policy, according to the release. In addition, access is now open to any number of users with administrator privileges, the depth of historical data has been increased from 12 months to 24 months, and the data is updated almost in real time and aligned with the Reports function.

The Irregular Spending Monitoring tool is now available for finance and group administrator roles, in addition to administrators, and users can subscribe to weekly email summaries that notify them of unusual spending, the release said.

Amazon Business launched in the United States in 2015 and has continued to expand and enhance its offerings in response to customer feedback, PYMNTS reported in August.

As of that time, Amazon Business was serving more than 8 million organizations globally, including hundreds of thousands of small businesses as well as 97 of the Fortune 100, 66 of the FTSE 100 and 38 of the DAX-40 companies.

Amazon said in its Monday press release that in addition to Spain, Amazon Business is available in the United States, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Japan and India.

The company added that in 2024, Business Prime customers collectively saved over $750 million in shipping costs globally, and that in 2025, nearly half of all orders were delivered the same day or next day.

In November, Amazon Business introduced a series of AI-powered solutions, including an Amazon Business Assistant that offers smart conversational support.

In December, Amazon Business added access to benefits from Intuit QuickBooks, cybersecurity company CrowdStrike and human resources and payroll platform Gusto.
