DBS Launches S$10 Million Support Programme With Grocery Discounts on Eggs, Rice

DBS/POSB is kicking off the first phase of its S$10 million support programme with weekly discounts on eggs and rice.

From 18 July to 29 August 2026, customers can get S$3 off selected house-brand eggs and S$3 off selected house-brand rice products every Saturday.

The offer is available at Sheng Siong and Giant supermarkets across Singapore, with total savings of up to S$6.

The DBS Saturday Savings offer is available at 129 participating outlets and applies when customers pay with any DBS/POSB credit or debit card.

Around 90,000 redemptions will be available each week, more than three times the quantity offered under the bank’s grocery campaign last year.

The programme has been expanded beyond Sheng Siong to include Giant supermarkets and is open to all DBS/POSB credit and debit cardholders, rather than only POSB cardholders.

Calvin Ong, Head of Consumer Banking Group at DBS Singapore, said,

“When we announced our SGD 10 million support initiative earlier this year, our commitment was to provide practical benefits that help Singaporeans stretch their dollar.

For many households, weekend grocery shopping is a familiar routine. By offering these savings on Saturdays, we hope to make these grocery trips a little more affordable.”

The bank introduced an S$0.60 rice and cooking oil offer at Sheng Siong last year.

DBS/POSB will also bring back its PayLah! S$3 Saturday Cashback campaign from September, with more details to be announced closer to the launch.

The PayLah! campaign was first introduced for hawker meals before being expanded to heartland shops and wet markets.

The grocery discounts are available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last, with each customer limited to one redemption per item per day.
