GameRant can exclusively reveal that Biker Mice from Mars is returning with its first new console game release since 2006, with Biker Mice from Mars: Rock and Ride. The upcoming Biker Mice from Mars game will be developed by Purple Play and will give fans of forgotten 90s cartoons a hit of nostalgia.

Biker Mice from Mars originally hit the airwaves in 1993 with a syndicated cartoon series that spanned three seasons. The titular rodents, named Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie, were thrill-seekers and freedom fighters who were the survivors of an invasion by the fish-like Plutarkian race. The Biker Mice then escaped Mars and crash-landed in Chicago, where they uncover that some Plutarkian threats still lingered. In 1994, Konami developed the first Biker Mice from Mars tie-in game, which was a racing game for the SNES.

Despite the long absence, Biker Mice from Mars will soon get a third game, titled Biker Mice from Mars: Rock and Ride. Although there is no release date for Biker Mice from Mars: Rock and Ride as of this writing, it will arrive on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The Nacelle Company, based in Burbank, California, revealed that the upcoming game will be the first Biker Mice from Mars title in over 20 years. The previous entry, simply titled Biker Mice from Mars, launched on the PS2 and Nintendo DS in 2006. Nacelle stated that the main Biker Mice trio would be playable characters in Rock and Ride, alongside unlockable characters such as Carbine and Scorch.

Nacelle added that fans of the original Biker Mice from Mars cartoon should expect arcade-style gameplay in Rock and Ride. Nacelle also confirmed that Biker Mice from Mars: Rock and Ride would be developed by Purple Play Games. The Miami-based studio is known for bringing titles from Latin America to global audiences. Additionally, one of Purple Play's recent releases was the 1v1 fighting game Baki Hanma: Blood Arena, based on the Baki manga franchise. However, the eventual release of Biker Mice from Mars: Rock and Ride may coincide with another Nacelle project.

In 2023, actor Ryan Reynolds and his production company, Maximum Effort, announced a collaboration with The Nacelle Company on a cartoon TV series. While Reynolds is known for his roles in films such as Deadpool and Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, he has been involved in adapting the 80s arcade title Dragon's Lair into a TV series. Although the planned series has no release date as of this writing, Biker Mice from Mars is stated to put a new spin on the original series. Like the 90s cartoon, the upcoming Biker Mice from Mars cartoon reboot will focus on the conflict between the titular Biker Mice and the Plutarkians.

It remains to be seen how the upcoming Biker Mice from Mars cartoon and the Rock and Ride video game from Nacelle will tie together. However, if past games based on 90s cartoons are anything to go off of, Biker Mice from Mars fans can expect high-octane action once Rock and Ride arrives in the future.
