How to Make Cryogenic Coolant in Palworld
Players can start making Cryogenic Coolant in Palworld as soon as they reach level 31, which is the point where the recipe for this crafting material becomes available on the tech tree. Thankfully, Cryogenic Coolants in Palworld are fairly easy to craft, but this mostly hinges on how well you can produce the organic materials needed to make them. If you're struggling with your Cryogenic Coolant production, here are a few tips you can try.
How to Unlock & Craft Cryogenic Coolant in Palworld
The recipe for Cryogenic Coolant can be unlocked once you reach level 31. This material is mandatory for making advanced buildings like the Improved Furnace, so make sure you're actively aiming toward unlocking this blueprint.
To craft Cryogenic Coolant, you'll need the following materials:
- 1 Aquatic Pal Fluid
- 1 Ice Organ
You can easily get Aquatic Pal Fluids in Palworld by hunting Water or Ice-type Pals. Beaches and the shores of most bodies of water typically have plenty of Water Pals hanging around them, so you should have no problem finding Pal Fluids. Furthermore, you can passively generate Pal Fluids in your base by assigning some Kelpseas to a Ranch. The latter isn't as fast as the former, but it's great for slowly stocking up on Pal Fluids while you're out doing something else.
If you head directly north of the Hill of Beginnings, you'll find Gobfin's Turf, a river delta that's absolute swarming with Water Pals. This is an excellent spot for farming Aquatic Pal Fluids, provided you're strong enough to fight multiple Gobfins at a time.
As of writing, there's no way to passively produce Ice Organs in Palworld. You'll either have to hunt Ice-type Pals, or produce enough Gold to purchase large quantities of Ice Organs from merchants. Pengullets are the most plentiful kind of Ice Pal in the early game, and you can find their locations by viewing their in-game Palpedia entry. Later, you can find even more Ice Pals by visiting the big frozen island to the north.
Finding Ice Organs
If you're struggling with Ice Organs, I highly recommend visiting Duneshelter in the northern desert. It's going to be a long trek if you're coming from the Hill of Beginnings, but the trip will be worth it.
Inside Duneshelter, you'll find a Wandering Merchant who sells Ice Organs for 285 Gold a piece. Like other merchants, he'll also buy any merchandise you might have on you. Once you setup a Gold farm in Palworld, you should have no issues meeting this price, and even if you don't, general exploration and boss fights should give you enough Gold or items to sell for Gold.
What are Cryogenic Coolants For?
Cryogenic Coolant is used to craft a number of mid and lategame items and buildings, most notably the Improved Furnace. Other recipes include:
- Combat SMG
- Cold Resistant Refined Metal Armor
- Overheat Rifle
- Electric Heater
- Large Scale Stone Oven
- Various other base buildings and tools
You're going to need hundreds of Cryogenic Coolants if you want to make these items and buildings, so I suggest stocking up on the necessary materials needed to make coolants as early as you can.
