iOS 27 comes with several hints about the upcoming iPhone Ultra, one of which is the array of new extra-large widgets that will be especially useful on the larger iPhone display. Here’s the full list of 15+ new widgets iOS 27 introduces.

If you’ve ever felt like the iPhone’s current widget options are too limited, iOS 27 might be an especially exciting update for you.

That’s because Apple is adding a new ‘extra-large’ widget size.

The previous largest widget—‘large’—filled a 4×4 grid of slots on the Home Screen. Extra-large widgets stretch the max size to a 4×6 grid. That’s generally the size of a full Home Screen page.

In iOS 27 beta 1, there are 11 popular Apple apps that offer extra-large widgets. Here’s the full list:

  • Calendar: List
  • Calendar: Up Next
  • Home: Accessories
  • Music: Recently Played
  • Music: Recommendations
  • Music: Top Charts
  • News: Today
  • News: Topic
  • Notes: Folder
  • Notes: Quick Note
  • Photos: Album
  • Photos: Featured
  • Reminders: List
  • Shortcuts: Shortcuts
  • Stocks: Watchlist
  • TV: Continue Watching
  • Weather: Forecast

Because of the larger size, extra-large widgets can show more content than ever before. So if you have an especially packed calendar, to-do list, want to see more notes at once, or some other need, the new widgets are a great addition.

It’s very possible that during the iOS 27 beta cycle, even more extra-large widgets will be added to the list. But even just with this beta 1 lineup, Apple is off to a strong start with new widgets.

Have you been using the new widgets in iOS 27? Which are your favorites? Let us know in the comments.
