GTA Online's Kortz Center Heist update appears to have massively nerfed the payout for many of the game's heists and made them even more of a grind in the process.

I know a lot of us are just sitting around and waiting for GTA Online to stop being Rockstar's focus so GTA 6 can take the spotlight and finally give us Trailer 3, but that isn't happening any time soon. Just yesterday, GTA Online received its latest massive update, which is focused on the titular Kortz Center heist.

Sadly, that update didn't just add a shiny new heist to GTA Online, it also drastically reduced the payouts for many of the game's existing heists, which has added a whole lot of grinding to a game that's already infamous for it. That's far from all, though, as the new heist also pays a paltry amount that gets even worse when you replay it.

GTA Online Has Nerfed Heists, And Fans Really Aren't Happy

If You're Not Hosting, Prepare To Get A Lousy Reward

Shortly after the Kortz Center Heist update went live, GTA Online players figured out that Rockstar had gone ahead and nerfed the payout for many of the game's heists. As pointed out by Twitter user GTAVI_Countdown, some heists have gone from rewarding $1.3 million to $910k, while others, like the Diamond Casino, have lost nearly a million from each tier.

This might not look like too much of a drop, especially with some only losing around $100k, but it's especially annoying considering how much work and money go into heists. GTA Online is already a massive grind that pushes you to buy Shark Cards, but it's just gotten noticeably worse across the board.

That's just the start, though, as the Kortz Center Heist is also drawing some flak. Despite costing around $16 million (with a discount, mind you) to initiate, the reward for the heist is around $3 million, which drops to $400k on Hard mode if you replay it in the same week. Of course, completing the mission is its own reward, but it barely seems worth doing for the cash itself.

One Reddit user pointed out that only the host gets a noticeable payout since you can't set cuts for your team, leaving everyone else with below $200,000.

As you can imagine, GTA Online players really aren't happy with the nerfs and the Kortz Center Heist itself. One popular post on the GTA Online subreddit from Healthy_Direction_47 calls the change a "scam" and accuses Rockstar of lowering the payouts for other heists just to be able to say that the Kortz Center pays the most. Here's hoping Rockstar listens to the feedback and makes some needed changes.
