How to Get Corrosive Solvent in Palworld
Corrosive Solvent is a mid-game crafting material that's used for a number of lategame items in Palworld. To craft Corrosive Solvents, you'll first need to reach level 37 and unlock it from the tech tree. Then, you need to get Sulfur and Venom Glands, and combine them at any Workbench. Crafting Corrosive Solvent in Palworld can be a bit of a hassle considering the materials it requires, so here's a guide to help you craft this ingredient more easily.
How to Craft Corrosive Solvent in Palworld
Once you reach level 37, open the Technology window and either scroll down to the level 37 row, or use the search box to find the recipe for Corrosive Solvent. Unlock the recipe using Technology Points, then head to the nearest workbench to start production.
To craft Corrosive Solvent, you'll need the following materials:
- 1 Venom Gland
- 1 Sulfur
Also, you can craft Corrosive Solvents at any Workbench tier, though we recommend making them at a Production Assembly Line so you can pump out Corrosive Solvents as quickly as possible. Assembly lines require electricity though, which you can generate by creating Power Generators and assigning Electric Pals to them.
Where to Get Venom Glands
I usually go out and hunt poisonous nocturnal Pals whenever I need Venom Glands. The island past the Ravine Entrance to the west of the Hill of Beginnings has a fairly decent number of Cawgnitos and Depressos roaming about at night. Kill or capture these Pals to get Venom Glands.
You still get materials if you capture Pals, and you can double-dip on material drops by capturing a Pal and butchering them with a Meat Cleaver.
Alternatively, you can go to Feybreak and capture the level 55 Caprity Noct there for a passive source of Venom Glands. Assign the Caprity Noct to a Ranch, and it will produce Venom Glands constantly.
Where to Get Sulfur
Sulfur nodes appear in volcanic areas, though you can also sometimes find Sulfur when exploring dungeons. In my experience, dungeons past the Ravine Entrance have a decent chance of having Sulfur inside them. These are great if you're also looking for extra loot on top of the Sulfur you need to craft Corrosive Solvents.
The best place to get Sulfur is the volcano to the far west of the Hill of Beginnings. It's pretty dangerous there, though, and you'll need to wear heat-resistant armor if you don't want the hot weather to affect you.
You can also build Sulfur Quarries that you can place in your bases. The recipe for this unlocks at level 46, and it requires Ancient Technology Points.
What is Corrosive Solvent For?
Similar to Cryogenic Coolant, Corrosive Solvent is used in many advanced recipes in Palworld, including:
- Meteor Launcher
- Pal Surgery Table
- Katana
- Pal Metal Axe & Pickaxe
- Weapon Assembly Line II
On a related note, Sulfur is needed to craft the Gunpowder you need for ammo. If you use guns a lot, then you might want to upscale your Sulfur mining efforts to also accommodate Corrosive Solvent production.
