The best team comp for Himeko Nova in Honkai: Star Rail depends on which gameplay you're trying to clear with Himeko SP. If you're playing against a single-target boss, then you should choose the Verdict state with the Himeko Nova + Sunday + Sparkle + Dan Heng PT team comp. Meanwhile, a multi-target battle works best if Himeko is in her Decimation state, with team comps like Himeko Nova + Welt + Mortenax Blade + Huohuo.

Himeko Nova's best team in HSR depends on which state you want to play her in. She has the Verdict and Decimation state, which comes with the following conditions and effects:

Trailblaze Companion Teammate (At Least 1)

Effect

Verdict: Increases DMG dealt by Himeko Nova, and additionally increases her Ultimate DMG. After her teammates actively use their Ultimate 2 times, she immediately launches 1 Assist Skill against enemies at no cost.

The extra Assist Skill via this Special Effect can be launched up to 2 times per battle, and this count is reset after Himeko Nova uses her Ultimate.

Decimation: Increases all allies' CRIT DMG, and additionally increases the CRIT DMG dealt by Skill. For every 1 enemy target hit by allies, gains 1 Charge. When Charge reaches 9, consumes all Charge, and Himeko Nova immediately launches 1 Assist Skill against enemies at no cost. This instance of Assist Skill cannot grant Charge.

The extra Assist Skill via this Special Effect can be launched up to 2 times per battle, and this count is reset after Himeko Nova uses her Ultimate.

Because of her states, Himeko Nova's team comp in HSR should always include at least one Trailblaze Companion. You can either make a Verdict team, a Decimation team, or mix both. Mixing both means you can get the buff for the team during Decimation, then you can switch to Verdict to maximize Himeko SP's Ultimate damage.

Verdict is best for single-target fights, while Decimation is perfect for multi-target combat. Meanwhile, the mixed team is great if you're fighting a battle that has both single-target and multi-target waves. However, you must know when and how to switch Himeko Nova's states to maximize the team's DPS.

To switch Himeko's state, you simply need to use her Assist Skill during the corresponding teammate's turn. For example, Himeko Nova enters the Verdict state if you use Assist Skill on Dan Heng PT's turn. Later, if you use the Assist Skill on Welt's turn, she will switch to the Decimation state.

Another thing you must know is that using an Assist Skill counts as a turn, unless you're a Trailblaze Companion. So you shouldn't use Himeko Nova's Assist Skill on any other characters. This limitation disappears when she unlocks her E2. At E0, she has 1 Assist Skill cap, which refreshes on her turn. At E2, she has 2 Assist Skills caps.

You can also improve this part of her Talent by getting her E1: "Assist Skill via the Verdict or Decimation state can be launched up to 2 times per battle. This count is reset after Himeko Nova uses her Ultimate." So, instead of twice per Ultimate, she can trigger the extra Assist Skill three times.

Just like her states, Himeko Nova's Eidolon also opens up more team comp. For example, Hunt March 7th can abuse Himeko Nova's E2 as March can keep getting her own turn, and use Himeko Nova's Assist Skill frequently.

Himeko Nova Verdict Team

The best Verdict team comp for Himeko Nova is the one where she plays a solo-carry. For that, use: Himeko Nova + Sunday + Sparkle + Dan Heng PT. Sunday and Dan Heng PT will ensure Himeko Nova can play only in Verdict state, all while she enjoys the support from all three teammates.

Sparkle and Sunday are perfect, as they can continuously advance Himeko Nova's turn, allowing her to quickly refresh her Assist Skill count and regenerate her Energy. The constant Ultimate will also refresh her extra Assist Skill. You can focus on building Himeko SP's Crit Rate since you will get plenty of Crit DMG on this team comp.

Alternatives for this Himeko Nova team are:

  • Himeko Nova + Remembrance MC + Sparkle + Dan Heng PT
  • Himeko Nova + Remembrance MC + Sparkle + Huohuo
  • Himeko Nova + Remembrance MC + Mortenax Blade + Huohuo

If you don't have Sparkle, you can also opt for buffers like Cerydra, Tribbie, Tingyun, and so on.

Himeko Nova Decimation Team

Himeko Nova's Decimation team comp in HSR must include characters who can deal damage on their own, so she must play with sub-DPS like Welt and Mortenax Blade. In the final slot, use Huohuo for sustain and Energy recovery.

However, since this team lacks an advancer, Himeko must play on SPD boots or have at least 134 SPD through substats. This ensures she meets the SPD breakpoint and allows her to move more in battle.

You can also swap Huohuo for Remembrance MC, which will make it a mixed-state team comp. This means you must pay attention to Himeko's state and ensure she can maximize both her and the team's DMG.

Removing Huohuo will also make this a sustainless team. Welt can slow and delay the enemies, Mortenax Blade can tank and taunt, while Remembrance Trailblazer can hope Mem will tank some damage. So the team might work fine without a sustain. This Himeko Nova team comp works best if Welt is E2 or E4, as he can Ult more frequently and slow enemies significantly.
