How to Change Hair & Appearance in Moonlight Peaks
William Parks is a Game Rant editor who specializes in puzzle games, indie releases, Nintendo titles, and completion-focused guide coverage. Since joining Game Rant in 2019, he has written and edited thousands of guides, with much of his work centered on helping players solve specific problems, track down hidden items, and make sense of tricky progression systems.
Before writing about games full time, William worked in arts administration after graduating from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. In that role, he collaborated with curators, artists, and institutions on contemporary exhibitions, an experience that helped shape his careful, research-driven approach to guides. His writing is built around clear structure, close observation, and making complicated objectives easier to follow.
William is especially drawn to games that reward curiosity and experimentation. He approaches guide writing from the perspective of a completionist, with an emphasis on practical advice that gets players where they need to go without wasting their time.
You can change the appearance of your character in Moonlight Peaks by using an Alter Ego Elixir, an item that you can purchase at the Webb of Wonders. You can also change your character's clothes and accessories by interacting with a mirror. Players can learn more about changing the appearance of their characters in Moonlight Peaks in this guide.
Moonlight Peaks: How to Change Hair & Appearance
You can repeatedly change the appearance of your character with Alter Ego Elixirs. While you will receive a couple of these potions as you work through main quests, you can always purchase them from the Webb of Wonders in the southeast corner of town for 1,300 coins.
Alter Ego Elixirs may seem expensive, but there are several ways to easily earn money. One of the best methods is to establish some Bee Houses and surround them with flowers, as a single Bee House can generate 320 coins worth of Honey every day without any maintenance. You can learn more about this and other money-making strategies in our How to Make Money Fast guide.
Once you have an Alter Ego Elixir, simply click on it in your inventory and select Consume. This will send you to the character creation screen, where you can alter your skin color, face, and hairstyle. When you are satisfied with your new selections, hold the Confirm input.
Alter Ego Elixirs are used as soon as you select Consume. This means that you will lose the potion even if you ultimately decide not to make any changes to your appearance.
Moonlight Peaks: How to Change Clothes & Accessories
You can change your character's clothes and accessories by interacting with a mirror. You can find a mirror in your house as well as in Third Eye Threads, the clothing shop in the southeast corner of town, and you should hold the Confirm input after making your selections.
Notably, you can also change your eyelashes and makeup through a mirror. If you're only interested in those smaller appearance adjustments, and aren't looking to change things like your skin color or hair, find a mirror rather than use an Alter Ego Elixir.
