Palworld would collab with Ark, No Man's Sky, and Enshrouded "tomorrow" if "we could make it make sense," says publishing chief

Palworld developer Pocketpair has shown it isn't shy to collaborate with other major IP, with last year's huge Terraria update adding a themed dungeon, weapons, and armor – not to mention, a new crossover raid boss and, oh right, fishing, too. Later in the same year, we saw an even less likely collab with the acclaimed FPS Ultrakill, which aptly added a bunch of new guns and base customization to Palworld.

Pocketpair has yet to reveal what's next for Palworld in terms of major collabs, but publishing chief John "Bucky" Buckley has revealed a few of the games he's had on his crossover wishlist. Talking to Game8, Bucky says his desire for certain Palworld collabs will never supersede canonical logic. For example, he says Pocketpair is especially keen on collaborating with Studio Wildcard's Ark, but nailing down the logistics is another story.

"We'd love to work with ARK if that ever came around. We're very close to those guys. We just released a bundle with them," Bucky says. "But actual asset collaborations [take] a lot of time. How do you put dinosaurs in Palworld? It's hard to figure that out."

I don't know, I think dinosaurs and Palworld are a perfect match. You already have plenty of dinosaur-adjacent Pals, why not just... add some more? Or, better yet, add some hyper-realistic Ark-themed skins and turn those cartoony goobers into ferocious monsters based on real-world history. It's a video game, just say there was a glitch in the space time tapestry that allowed real-life dinosaurs to slip through, or something.

Bucky says he also wants to collab with Enshrouded and No Man's Sky, but as with any potential Palworld crossover, everything has to make sense logistically. "If we could make it make sense, we would do it tomorrow," he says.

In all seriousness, a Palworld No Man's Sky collab seems like a very natural fit. I'd love to see what kind of bioluminescent alien weirdos Pocketpair could conjure up with Hello Games' blessing, not to mention, all of the crossover potential with vehicles and base-building. Unfortunately, it very much sounds like Bucky was just spitballing when he mentioned these hypothetical crossovers, but hey, a guy can dream.

Palworld 1.0's first update stops teleporting from temporarily freezing your game and save data being "unintentionally discarded after certain operations."
