Pokemon GO's Special Anniversary Pikachu Celebration has just kicked off, offering players a full week to catch all sorts of unique costumed Pikachu. Do you want a Witch Hat Pikachu, or a Dapper Pikachu, or a Rock Star Pikachu? Well, this event can give you all of that (and more!)
The Special Anniversary Pikachu Celebration event ends on Monday, July 20, at 8 pm local time, and how the event works is that there are three different celebration "windows" that will feature a different assortment of costumed Pikachu.
Thanks to Leekduck, we have the first batch of costumed Pikachu that will spawn from today until July 15 at 10 am local time, but we've yet to confirm the costumes for Celebration 2 and Celebration 3, which start on July 15 and July 18, respectively. For more info on those spawns, your best bet is to check Leekduck's page for the event. We'll also make sure to update this guide accordingly once the info drops.
Here's everything we know so far about the Special Anniversary Pikachu Celebration in Pokemon GO.

About the GO Pass Rewards
You'll get the GO Pass for the event for free, but you can pay a few bucks to go through the ranks a bit faster. The GO Pass rewards are pretty standard for the most part: you get XP, Berries, Lure Modules, Lucky Eggs, and the like, but there seem to be about five costumes that aren't part of the Celebration Event spawns, at least for the Celebration 1 Pikachu group.
There's a chance these costumes will become available for Celebration 2 and 3, but we'll still list them here and let you know the Rank you'll need to reach to unlock them:
| GO Pass Costumes | Rank |
|---|---|
| Flying Multicolored Balloons | 6 |
| Gracidea Flower | 23 |
| Shaymin Scarf | 27 |
| Pop Star Outfit | 29 |
| Rock Star Outfit | 30 |
