Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced is a game filled with all types of secrets for players to find. From hidden weapons to being able to turn your crew into skeletons to all types of lore and cosmetic items, it's easy to get lost treasure hunting in this game. While most collectibles are either marked on your map or tied to a specific quest, Ubisoft has hidden a few secrets throughout their game that are tucked away in the corners of the map.

One of these is the Explorer Outfit, a cosmetic that many believed wouldn't make it into the main game since it was tied to a community event from the original. Not linked to any quest or major location, you actually need to venture to a specific spot in the ocean and dive underwater to locate this chest. Reddit user -Holliday

Before we go into detail on how to find this cosmetic, I want to first give a shoutout to Reddit user -Holliday, who appears to be the first person to have found this outfit and post its location! All the credit for the actual discovery goes to them.

In order to find the Explorer Outfit, we will need to head to the southwest section of the map to coordinates 23,293. Specifically, we are going to a cove just north of the small town of Corozol in the Chincorro region. While this sounds easy enough on paper, this cove is guarded by two high-tier Spanish ships which will instantly engage you if you get too close.

Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid fighting here, as the narrow passageway ensures that you will be forced to get close to them and trigger a battle. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend going for this outfit unless you have upgraded the Jackdaw, as the confined nature of the cove makes it very hard to outmaneuver ships.

This means you'll mostly be stuck in close-quarters battles with the vessels, relying on brute force over speed or maneuverability. You'll want to lean on using the Mortar to soften up the ships from a distance before closing the gap. If you've upgraded this weapon, there's a good chance you can sink the weaker of the two ships before the other is able to bring their cannons to bear on you.

Also make use of your Master at Arms' ram ability, as this can do a staggering amount of damage, quickly close the gap, and even shove the ship into the rocks if they're close enough. Remember to also always board a ship when it's incapacitated, since you can repair the Jackdaw after a successful takeover.

Doing so will give you more survivability in this fight — especially if you have a less equipped ship for this region! Once the ships are dead, they won't ever respawn so long as you step foot in the town of Corozol to make it a fast travel point.

Once the ships are down, sail north into the cove to the very end, where the smaller of the two massive rocky cliffs are jutting out from the water. Bring the Jackdaw to a halt and select "Release the Wheel" to freely run around. Now jump off the boat into the water and swim to the exact coordinates: 23,293. When you're here, dive into the water and look for bubbles coming up from a chest that's nestled around some coral and rocks (shown above).

Interact with the chest to earn the Explorer Outfit and the Aveline Figurehead for your Jackdaw. This outfit provides zero benefits, but will give Edward Kenway that classic white with red trim robe that is iconic to this franchise.
