EV fleet growth varies across Scandinavia
The Norwegian road traffic information council Opplysningsrådet for Veitrafikken (OFV) has published figures on the electric car fleet in the Nordic countries at the end of the first half of 2026.
Unsurprisingly, Norway remains well ahead with electric cars accounting for 34.31 per cent of the passenger car fleet. Denmark follows with 22.37 per cent, while Sweden and Finland still record single-digit shares at 9.34 per cent and 6.98 per cent respectively. Compared to the same period last year, the share of electric cars in the vehicle fleet increased by 16.4 per cent in Norway, 47.9 per cent in Denmark, 21.0 per cent in Sweden and 36.9 per cent in Finland.
