Volvo delivers first EX60 EVs, a ‘game changer’ with 500+ miles range and fast charging
The EX60 is a true “game changer” for the Volvo brand, with the first customer deliveries now underway.
Volvo begins EX60 EV deliveries
“This is a huge moment for us and our customers,” Erik Severinson, Volvo Cars COO, said as the company kicked off customer deliveries on Thursday.
The first EX60 models were delivered to customers in Sweden, while Volvo plans to ramp up production and deliveries over the next few weeks and months.
After unveiling the EX60 in January, Volvo said the midsize electric SUV is designed to be a “game changer” for the brand as its first foray into the largest EV segment globally.
The EX60 is the Swedish automaker’s most advanced electric vehicle yet. As the first vehicle based on its advanced new SPA3 platform, the EX60 can drive further and charge faster than any all-electric Volvo to date.
Volvo’s new midsize electric SUV delivers a “best-in-class” WLTP range of up to 503 miles (810 km). On the US EPA scale, the EX60 gets up to 400 miles of range.
Thanks to the SPA’s 800-volt electric architecture, the EX60 can add up to 211 miles (340 km) of range in just 10 minutes using a 400 kW charger. In just 16 minutes, it can recharge from 10% to 80%.
The Volvo EX60 is available with three powertrain options: P12 AWD, P10 AWD, and a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) P6.
In Germany, the base EX60 P6 Plus starts at 54,328 euros ($62,200) with a WLTP range of 379 miles (611 km).
The P10 AWD and P12 AWD start at 56,849 euros ($65,000) and 61,891 euros ($70,900), respectively, with WLTP ranges of 410 miles (660 km) and 503 miles (810 km).
In the US, the 2027 Volvo EX60 is available with the same three powertrains. The base P6 is powered by an 83 kWh battery, providing up to 307 miles of range, while the P10 AWD gets a 95 kWh battery, for a slightly longer driving range of up to 322 miles.
Meanwhile, the top P12 AWD is powered by a massive 117 kWh battery, delivering a driving range of up to 400 miles.

Volvo’s electric SUV is available in Plus or Ultra grades. The lowest-priced EX60 P6 Plus comes equipped with a large 15″ OLED central touchscreen that features Google Built-In and Gemini AI Assistant, Pilot Assist, a 21-speaker premium Bose sound system, and Volvo’s Safe Space suite of safety features.
Upgrading to the Ultra grade adds ventilated Nappa leather, a 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system, a dimmable panoramic roof, and heated booster seats for rear passengers.
The EX60 is also Volvo’s first EV with a native NACS charge port, enabling drivers to access Tesla Superchargers without an adaptor.
