Adyen Names Gary Yang APAC President Ahead of Warren Hayashi’s Retirement

Adyen has appointed Gary Yang as its Asia-Pacific President, effective 1 August 2026.

Based in Singapore, Yang will oversee the company’s commercial growth and operations across the region.

He succeeds Warren Hayashi, who will retire at the end of 2026.

Hayashi will work with Yang over the coming months to support a smooth handover.

Yang joined Adyen in 2018 and most recently served as SVP, Global Head of Account Management and Partnerships.

In that role, he oversaw account management and partnerships globally.

Prior to joining Adyen, Yang was Vice President of Operations at Peek and an early General Manager at viagogo.

His earlier experience spans consulting at Boston Consulting Group, product management at Microsoft, software engineering at Booz Allen Hamilton and venture capital at GGV Capital.

Yang said,

Adyen has teams in Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Auckland.

Its regional customers include Agoda, Amazon Japan, Cathay Pacific, Klook, Singapore Airlines, Xiaomi, Temu and Uniqlo.
