Just when you thought the hero of metroidvania masterpiece Hollow Knight couldn't get any cuter, Lego gets involved. A fan-made set that looks as good as hoped appeared in the final results for Lego's third Ideas Review of 2025. While you won't be able to buy an official Lego and Team Cherry collab set just yet, the possibility is closer than ever.

Lego announced the results of its Ideas Review 2025-3 on July 14. Fan creator Pingouin RainbowDash's entry "Hollow Knight: A Journey to Hallownest" wasn't selected to become a future Lego set at this time; it did enter the Parking Lot. This is basically a designation that means Lego will give product ideas more review time before a final decision on its fate is made. So the Hollow Knight-themed set could still become an official Lego product at a later date. Lego will give further updates on Parking Lot ideas in future Ideas Reviews.

The "Hollow Knight: A Journey to Hallownest" mock-up shown in the announcement video is pretty impressive. The set appears to be a modular display made up of three distinct parts. The scenes show the Knight resting on a bench in Dirtmouth, Hornet in the verdant environment of the Greenpath, and the Shade in Crystal Peak.

The Hollow Knight set was one of four chosen to enter the Parking Lot in the latest review. The other three were themed after Bob's Burgers, Naruto, and the iconic photo "Lunch atop a Skyscraper." The three sets that were selected to become official Lego products were a Jumanji board game, a Universal Monsters castle, and a pair of beautiful kimonos.

Since its release in 2017, Hollow Knight's reputation as one of the best metroidvanias ever made has only grown. Last year, after a long development period, Team Cherry finally released the sequel Hollow Knight: Silksong. While many fans still loved what Silksong had to offer, the game sparked debate concerning game difficulty. We put it at number eight in our list of the 50 best games of 2025.
