Fortnite: Bus Victory Royale Anomaly, Explained
Rift Anomalies are random occurrences late into Battle Royale that can often offer respite, more loot, and now, a chance to escape. The Battle Bus Victory Royale Rift Anomaly spawns the Battle Bus, and you need to enter it to win the match. Failing to enter the match means you lose the game, and it's an opportunity for everyone still alive in the match to escape. However, will you be peaceful, or will you try to make sure you're the only one who's thanking the bus driver?
How the Battle Bus Victory Royale Rift Anomaly Works in Fortnite
Late into the game, there can be a Rift Anomaly. Rift Anomalies always appear once the Storm Circle has finished closing, and these often occur in the 4th or 5th Storm Circle when around 10 players remain. There's a random chance that a Rift Anomaly will read "Battle Bus Victory Royale!", and if that's what you see on your HUD, it's time to drop what you're doing and start running.
The Battle Bus will land somewhere on the map, and you have just two minutes to find it and enter it. However, entering the Battle Bus isn't as simple as just finding your seat. You need to climb on top of the Battle Bus and wait for the timer to expire, but other players will also be attempting to do this.
While you can technically have every team still alive work together to remain on the bus, most players are going to be hostile to enemy players. I'd recommend hiding close by and using a Shockwave Grenade to get aboard the Battle Bus with 4 seconds remaining, because whoever isn't on the Battle Bus by the time the timer reaches zero is eliminated.
If you're playing in Duos, Trios, and Squads, only one of you needs to survive and leave via the Battle Bus.
If you do somehow manage to beat out the other teams and escape, then the game will treat it like a Victory Royale. You'll extract your Sprites, grab the winning XP, and get a Victory Crown for your efforts. It's a fast-paced (and dangerous) way to end the game, so try not to get left behind and try not to get eliminated by waiting on the bus too early.
