Which Partner Digi Egg Should I Pick in Digimon UP?

Which Partner to Pick Digimon Up

When the adventure begins in Digimon UP, players will be able to pick one Digi Egg containing their first Digimon Partner. There are a total of twelve different partners to pick from:

  • Agumon
  • Biyomon
  • Tentomon
  • Palmon
  • Gomamon
  • Salamon
  • Veemon
  • Wormmon
  • Hawkmon
  • Armadillomon
  • Guilmon
  • Terriermon
  • Renamon

The Best Starters to pick are Guilmon, Agumon, Veemon, Renamon, Terriermon, and Gabumon, in that order.

Picking a Starter in Digimon UP is a difficult choice

Guilmon is an aggressive Virus-type Dragon Digimon that will eventually evolve into Growlmon, WarGrowlmon, and Gallantmon (Dukemon). It is extremely powerful and snowballs early on, with its Fire-attribute fast attacks and high combo damage.

Agumon is the classic starter, a Vaccine-type Dinosaur Digimon that becomes Greymon, then MetalGreymon, and eventually WarGreymon. It has a high Skill-Damage and lots of HP.

Veemon is the favorite pick of most players. It has balanced stats for a Vaccine-type and fast attack speed, and evolves into the Ex-Veemon line, which then follows up with Paildramon and Imperialdramon.

Renamon is great at Skill Damage and HP Recovery. It is a Data-type Animal Digimon that evolves into Kyubimon, Taomon, and Sakuyamon, a humanoid Mega Digimon with enormous Skill Critical Damage.

Terriermon has a lot of attack speed, and balanced stats. This Digimon evolves into Gargomon, then Rapidmon, and MegaGargomon, becoming an offensive tank.

Gabumon is another blast from the past, a classic Data-type Partner that evolves into the powerful Garurumon, then WereGarurumon, and finally MetalGarurumon. This starter has a lot of skill damage and speed, and is also great at combo damage.

Each partner Digimon will start at its Baby Phase (In Training-I), and players will have to nurture them from scratch to make them evolve into their final form (Mega). Each Digimon starts at level 1 and evolves in phases: From In-Training I to In-Training II at level 5, from In-Training II to Rookie at level 10, from Rookie to Champion at level 25. From Champion to Ultimate at Level 65. From Ultimate to Mega at Level 90.
