The Fallout show is made with practical effects, so it's filmed on actual on-location sets. That means the show looks way better than some of the others that rely on VFX for everything, but it also means there's a chance that these sets will leak during filming.

That's exactly what's happened this week, as someone appears to have stumbled across a set for Fallout season three. If accurate, then this leak might confirm that a fan-favourite character is joining the cast in the next season - and not one many of us would have expected to see in the show's timeline.

"Joshua Graham Lives" - Will This Beloved DLC Character Appear In Fallout Season 3?

These images were shared on the Fallout subreddit by user Shadofett. They say that the set was being protected by security, but they managed to snap a few pics before they left.

Now, in the age of generative AI, we cannot with full certainty say these are legit. But with that said, previous set leaks were completely accurate for the past two seasons, so it's very plausible that someone stumbled across this in the wild.

So what do these images tell us? To start with the most significant: the Joshua Graham graffiti. This is actually a direct reference to graffiti you can find in the game Fallout: New Vegas, with one also reading "Joshua Graham Lives", and another reading "The Burned Man Walks".

For a quick bit of context, Joshua Graham was a co-founder of Caesar's Legion, alongside Edward Sallow, the Caesar you meet in-game. After the First Battle of Hoover Dam was lost, Joshua Graham was punished, being set on fire and thrown into the Grand Canyon. The Legion believes him to be dead, so when he resurfaces, any talk about his survival is forbidden; it makes the Legion look weak.

Of course, the show is set well after the events of New Vegas. The Caesar who ordered Graham's death is dead, and you can even kill the Burned Man himself if you so wish. This graffiti could just be a reference to the games, and nothing more.

But I put forward the theory that there is something to this. One of the first set leaks for season two was Great Khan's graffiti, and some thought that was just a reference, too. But we saw them clear as day in season two, alive and well (for a time). So the graffiti really could be setting up Joshua Graham's survival.

He would be getting on a bit, mind you. He's estimated to be in his 50s in New Vegas, which is set 15 years before the show.

As for the rest of the set photos, I would wager that it's part of a train station. It could be an abandoned pre-war station, but we also know that the characters are going to travel quite a lot in season three - and the NCR managed to rebuild some infrastructure - so it could be operational and explain how they're going to get there. That would also address some complaints about how everything is too run-down in the show.

For now, we'll just have to wait and see what else leaks. If previous seasons are anything to go by, there's plenty more where this came from.
