Home Depot’s Awesome 12-Foot-Tall Skeleton Is Back, And Now It Can Talk

In my opinion, it's never too early to get into the spirit of Spooky Season, and it looks like Home Depot agrees with me. The retailer has just launched its 2026 Halloween Collection and everyone's favorite 12-foot-tall skeleton, Skelly, is coming back as part of it. It's not just the regular version of Skelly that's available to buy, either.

A brand-new, app-controlled Skelly is available to buy this year as well, though it's a bit pricier than its standard counterpart. This fancier version comes to $379 (see it here), compared to OG Skelly's $299 (see it here), but if you're still sold on having it for your yard this year, now is the time to grab it.

Considering how popular Skelly is, I wouldn't be surprised if both of these models sold out quick, so pick up your preferred display before that happens.

According to Home Depot's announcement for its Halloween Collection, these app-enabled upgrades on the new Skelly "let owners customize head and mouth movements with servo motors, speak through the SKELLY animatronic in real time via Bluetooth, record up to 30 sounds and choose from 20 different LCD LifeEyes effects." They're quite fun ways to add more personality into your Skelly setup this year, particularly being able to speak through him.

And if these new additions seem like a bit much for what you're looking for, regular Skelly is still there to pick up. Again, there's every chance these could sell out long before we even hit Spooky Season, so better to grab them now than wait and miss out.

If you're curious what else Home Depot has in their Halloween Collection this year, it's definitely worth having a look at their decoration page. In terms of big displays, there's quite a fun selection of animatronics and giant pieces to look at right now, if you want to see even more from where Skelly came from.
