If you're actively looking for Palworld Hardwood, you're likely to be over level 40, as that's where the recipes that require this resource are found. If that's the case, then you've probably already reached the areas needed to find this material. With any luck, that also means you've got a fast travel point or two ready to go.
With that in mind, I'll be telling you where you need to go on the vast Palpagos map to find hardwood trees, and I've also got the secret to farming them at your base, so read on if you want high quality Palworld structures.
Where to find Palworld Hardwood
There are a few regions of the map in which hardwood can be obtained, but none are very near the starting area. They are:
- Twilight Dunes (spiky trees)
- Mount Obsidian (dead trees)
- Sakurajima (Sakura trees)
- Feybreak Island (red, orange, and yellow trees)
- Desiccated Desert (dead trees, spiky trees)
Not all trees in the areas above drop hardwood, so I've given you an idea of the best ones to look out for. Don't forget as well that a higher quality axe will improve the yield you receive, so use a Refined Metal Axe, or even a Pal Metal Axe if you can.
There is also likely to be plenty of hardwood on the new 1.0 islands, and I'll add those to this list once I reach them!
How to farm Palworld Hardwood

As luck would have it, there's an incredibly useful crafting recipe hidden in the Ancient Technology tree at level 43: the Logging Site 2. You should unlock this as soon as possible, build at least one in your base, and set some logging Pals to work on it, and you'll soon have chests full of Palworld Hardwood.
