The Grand Cayman chest in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is one of the hard-to-reach treasures that will require players to 'think outside the box' to attain. Located on a narrow ledge, players won't be able to reach the chest by normal parkouring. However, there's a drunken man and his wife having a heated conversation that might allude to the means by which Edward can get his hands on the Grand Cayman chest in AC Black Flag Resynced.

How to Reach the Grand Cayman Chest in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced

Grand Cayman Island Location AC Black Flag Resynced

To get the Grand Cayman chest in AC Black Flag Resynced, players need to first reach the island itself (361, 300), located at the westernmost edge of the Cruz region, and northwest of Kingston. As with many landmarks that you haven't discovered, the island will be marked with a question mark (undiscovered) symbol, and it'll appear on your map once you dock the Jackdaw to its pier.

Grand Cayman Chest Location AC Black Flag Resynced

After arriving on the Grand Cayman island, you'll need to go to the western area of the island, as I've indicated in the image above. You'll come across a blue chest across the gap, with a drunk man standing next to it. While there isn't a way to reach the chest normally, you'll find a clue in the conversation the man's having with his wife.

In particular, the drunk man mentions how he only had five cups of rum at the tavern, and he ended up on that ledge. So, for Edward to reach the ledge and get the Cayman Island chest, he'd need to have five cups of rum, too.

Grand Cayman Chest Tavern Location AC Black Flag Resynced

The tavern is located in the center of the Cayman Island (feel free to follow the directions above). Once you interact with the bartender, there's a chance you'll be attacked by a couple of rowdy townsfolk. Once you defeat the threat, interact with the bottle on the bar to start drinking (25 Reales per cup).

Once Edward has consumed five cups at the tavern, the screen will cut to black, indicating he passed out.

Doing so will also unlock the "Hungover" trophy in AC Black Flag Resynced, as Edward will wake up in a haystack once he recovers.

Grand Cayman Chest Reward AC Black Flag Resynced

Once Edward wakes up from his hangover, he'll be standing on the very ledge with the blue chest. Now, players can open up the Cayman Island chest in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and receive 'Yoke-Form Vessel' as a reward. While it's an underwhelming reward, it's one of the collectible art pieces that Edward can showcase at his mansion in the Great Inagua.
