The Twilight Catacombs is a locked, underground tunnel in Moonlight Peaks that has entrances and exits in locations all over the map. Players will find the entrances to the Twilight Catacombs in the Crypt, where Viktor stays, and in the graveyard in the Misty Shores.

When you interact with these doors, the game will only tell you that they are “locked from the other side,” without telling you how you can unlock them and access the Twilight Catacombs.

How to Unlock the Twilight Catacombs in Moonlight Peaks

The Twilight Catacombs can be unlocked by completing the “A Key to the Deep” quest, which only triggers after you receive the Dracula Insignia Key from Jada for achieving 25% completion status in the Museum’s progress.

The Museum is a building in the town that unlocks during the main quest “Curating the Museum,” which happens shortly after the Henderson family moves into Moonlight Peaks. Once the Museum is up and running, you’ll be able to submit various items and curiosities to the Museum in order to fill it up and make it worth visiting.

To submit an item to the Museum, approach the central arch, select the room where you want to submit, and click on the exclamation mark signboard inside the room to submit eligible items in your inventory. Items that can be submitted to the Museum are marked by a special icon.

When you achieve 25% completion in the Museum, Jada will stop you when you exit the exhibits room and give you the Dracula Insignia Key, triggering the “A Key to the Deep” quest.

To complete this quest, all you have to do is show the key to Viktor in the Crypt. He will tell you that this key is used to open the Twilight Catacombs.

Exit and interact with the trapdoor behind the Crypt to unlock it and enter the Twilight Catacombs for the first time.

How to Open All Twilight Catacombs Entrances in Moonlight Peaks

The Twilight Catacombs is an underground tunnel that connects many different locations in Moonlight Peaks together, shortening the distance you need to travel massively.

There are a total of seven entrances to Twilight Catacombs, five of which can only be unlocked from the inside. Here are the details.

Crypt Trapdoor Entrance

Located behind the Crypt's main door, this entrance unlocks when you access the Twilight Catacombs for the first time. This connects to the trapdoor behind the Crypt, in the western part of your farm.

Cave of Echoes Moon Door

Step on the blue pressure plate directly south of the Home entrance. This connects to the northern moon door that used to block the way in the Cave of Echoes.

Crystal Cave Blocked Doorway

Step on the blue pressure plate in the western corner of the Catacombs. This connects to the collapsed doorway in the eastern part of the Crystal Cave.

Graveyard Mausoleum

Step on the blue pressure plate just south of the blue mushroom circle, south of the bridge. This connects to the Twilight Catacombs entrance in the graveyard in the Misty Shores.

Luna Bay Blocked Doorway

Swim or fly north, along the river, and step on the blue pressure plate on the small beach on the left side. This connects to the collapsed doorway in the western part of Luna Bay.

Howling Marshes Mausoleum

Step on the blue pressure plate in the eastern corner of the Catacombs. This connects to the Twilight Catacombs entrance in the central part of the Howling Marshes.

The Broken Lamp (Secret Entrance)

Sleep in your coffin to pass the night, and check your mailbox the next day to receive the letter from Samael. Go to The Broken Lamp, and Samael will unlock this entrance for you.

The biggest benefit of the Twilight Catacombs is that it vastly shortens the distance you need to travel to get to different parts of the map. Crucially, you can ferry Vampsters back and forth through the tunnel as well, allowing you to reach the den quickly.
