Moonlight Peaks: How to Get and Use a Golden Egg
The first animal you can get in Moonlight Peaks is the Cheeken, which is acquired through the Farm Animals for Sale quest. While these Cheekens might not offer the most lucrative of rewards or intrigue, they do have a chance to lay a Golden Egg! If you've found a Golden Egg, or you want to know how to easily make this "egg-stra" surprise appear, then we've got everything you need to know listed right here.
How to Get Golden Eggs in Moonlight Peaks
To start generating Golden Eggs, you're going to need the Barn and Cheekens. The Barn is unlocked in one of the early missions, Farm Animals for Sale, and during this mission, you will be tasked with building a Barn from the Ridge and then purchasing Cheekens from Luna's Farm (which will set you back 1,200 Coins.
When your Cheekens arrive at the Barn, make sure you fill up the feeding trough with Fodder. This can be made at the Refiner in exchange for Fibers (x1 Fiber = x2 Fodder). The trough can be filled with x100 Fodder, which will spare you from having to refill it constantly!
You can also make Premium Fodder at the Refiner with 50 regular Fodder and one Mana Essence.
Each night, you'll find eggs in the barn, with a chance of receiving a Golden Egg from one of your Cheekens. Golden Eggs are rare and random drops, so keep checking your barn every night before ending the day and keep your eyes peeled for their unique color!
How to Use the Golden Egg in Moonlight Peaks
Save one Golden Egg at all times (you will need it for a mission later)
- Sell it in Chester for 85 coins instead of a regular egg's 20
- Use it in recipes
- Gift it to characters who have it as a favorite gift item
The best use will depend on how much it means to you to build relationships with the other characters in Moonlight Peaks. The Golden Egg is one of the best gifts to romance a character. However, if you're not looking for love, then you might want to just sell the Golden Egg instead.
