Ahead of the Dispatch cast's announced appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 on July 24, developer AdHoc Studio has confirmed fans can expect a new release for it a few days later on July 29. Dispatch was easily one of the best games of 2025, so to see it get continued support is no doubt heartwarming and exciting for its future.

For those unaware, the San Diego Comic-Con panel is titled Dispatch: Off the Clock with the Z-Team and features pretty much all the major figures that brought the Z-Team to life. Sans Mecha Man actor Aaron Paul, the Dispatch panel is confirmed to feature Laura Bailey (Invisigal), Travis Willingham (Phenomaman), Sean "Jacksepticeye" McLoughlin (Punch Up), Thot Squad (Prism), Yung Gravy (Golem), Alanah Pearce (Malevola), Lance Cantstoplis (Flambae), Joel Haver (Waterboy), Mayanna Berrin (Coupe), and Charles "Moistcr1tikal" White (Sonar, dialing in), all moderated by Erin Yvette (Blonde Blazer).

Dispatch Finally Locks In its Xbox Series X/S Release Date

Whether fans are able to check out the presentation or not, they'll have a new chance to play Dispatch (or play it for the first time) on Xbox Series X/S when it finally releases on July 29. The game can now be wishlisted by anyone who wants to confirm their interest in the upcoming game. Those locked into the Xbox ecosystem haven't been able to play the game yet, and so this is their first chance. Dispatch has already come to Nintendo Switch since its PS5 release in 2025, as well as issuing an update to adjust some of the strange in-game censorship, and so Xbox will soon be another place fans can pick up the game, should they so choose.

Who’s That Character?

Identify the silhouettes before time runs out.

If I may break character for a second, this is also a personal attack on me in a "steak too juicy, lobster too buttery" sort of way. Week after week, I put multiple hours and playthroughs into Dispatch on PS5 during its episodic release period. When it came to Nintendo Switch, I purchased it once more and put another playthrough into it there. And when it drops on Xbox, yes, AdHoc, you will take my money once more in the Futurama meme sort of way. Many fans are certainly hopeful that AdHoc manages to cook up a Dispatch Season 2, myself obviously included.

In November 2025, AdHoc co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Pierre Shorette said the team was "going to have to at least think about" Dispatch Season 2 during SkillUp's The Friends Per Second podcast. In December 2025, AdHoc had suggested that it would be deciding what's next for the studio in the then-coming weeks, so AdHoc is likely hard at work on a new project right now. What that is remains to be seen, as the studio could instead choose to pursue a new story or something along those lines, but the studio is at least very aware that many, many fans want to see Dispatch Season 2.

Find the odd one out before the timer hits zero.

At the very least, the studio has openly supported the community, as have the actors. Fans shouldn't expect much news out of the aforementioned panel, but seeing the Z-Team reunited in Dispatch or beyond is always good for morale.
