New Official Hello Kitty Release Confirmed

Hello Kitty fans have been getting increasingly spoiled when it comes to video game-related content, and the latest announcement from Sanrio is no different. On social media, the Japanese company showcased the final addition to its custom Razer set based on Hello Kitty standout Cinnamoroll: a gorgeous headset variant that’s available right now.
When asking someone their favorite Hello Kitty character, there’s about a dozen potential names that could serve as a response. Sure, some fans of the Sanrio brand will love Miss Kitty herself, or even her partner Dear Daniel, but there are a ton of characters on her level when it comes to popularity. The chubby yellow dog Pompompurin is a big hit, as is the dynamic duo of My Melody and Kuromi. Keropi, Tuxedo Sam, Badtz-Maru, Hangyodon — the list goes on and on. Cinnamoroll is one of these many popular side characters associated with Hello Kitty content, so he was always going to be a great contender for a dedicated set of Razer gear.

The Cinnamoroll headset is instantly recognizable due to the flying creature’s white ears being added to the headband portion, allowing this headwear to go beyond typical earmuff aesthetic. It also boasts soft RGB lighting that can be customized to give players the exact amount of glow they’re looking for. Dubbed the Kraken Kitty V2, this headset isn’t just for looks, either; it boasts a light frame and comfortable cushions to assist with long gaming sessions, and it boasts Triforce 40mm drivers to allow for high-quality audio. Bluetooth tech allows the headset to be used unwired, with 40 hours of battery life ensuring players can sneak in multiple sessions before recharging.

Priced at $139.99, this headset is just one piece of the larger Cinnamoroll set that Sanrio and Razer have been releasing piece by piece. The other items are shared in the Tweet above, and include a matching gaming chair, custom keyboard, and mousepad. While all of these items are Cinnamoroll-themed, they’re not the only product to stem from the partnership between the two companies. A pink model capturing the entire Hello Kitty and Friends lineup is available on the Razer website, as is a purple Kuromi-centric series of items. For Cinnamoroll fans, though, topping this lineup is going to be pretty much impossible.
The Kraken Kitty V2 headset is built to work for PC only, with console users reporting poor audio quality when trying to use it with something like PS5.
Given the Hello Kitty brand’s increase in video game output, these Razer releases are well-timed. Sure, PC users won’t be able to play the upcoming Hello Kitty Party Land since it’s a Nintendo Switch exclusive, but they can at least enjoy the game in their flashy Cinnamoroll chair if they pick one up. Plus, they can still enjoy Hello Kitty: Island Adventure on Steam, or pair their Kraken Kitty V2 with some of the Sanrio Overwatch skins for some competitive gaming.
Whether it’s this awesome headset, a new game, or the upcoming Hello Kitty LEGO collab, Sanrio fans have a lot to look forward to both this year and next. And with all the Cinnamoroll Razer items available right now, PC gamers can start gearing up for this bright future at their nearest convenience.
