Diamonds are one of the rarest materials you can get by mining ores in Moonlight Peaks. Every Stone, Copper, Iron, and Gold node in the game has a small chance that a Diamond will drop alongside the ore. However, the game doesn’t tell players what, exactly, these Diamonds are used for, leaving it up to them to figure it out.

What Should You Do with Diamonds in Moonlight Peaks?

There are three possible things you can do with a Diamond in Moonlight Peaks:

  1. Give it to an NPC as a Gift
  2. Sell it through Chester
  3. Sell it through a Job Board Quest

Gifting Diamonds

Barring a few exceptions, almost every NPC loves Diamonds as a gift, making them one of the beloved items in Moonlight Peaks.

When a character who loves Diamonds receives one, their heart level will increase, and your relationship with them will become better. This is especially useful if you want to marry someone and want to pursue a romantic relationship with them to make that happen.

Selling Diamonds Through Chester

After you unlock Chester, the chest that sells items, at the start of your playthrough, you’ll be able to sell anything you farm, fish, mine, cook, craft, or forage through him. Diamonds are one of the valuable items you can sell in Moonlight Peaks. The price is 2,000 Coins each.

Unless you’re incredibly short on gifts, and need to max out a relationship urgently, it’s better to sell Diamonds than to gift them. Mainly because there are so many other, easier to obtain gift options for every character in the game.

Selling Diamonds Through Job Board

After the Job Board in town becomes active, a request for a Diamond may appear there, offering to buy a Diamond from you for 10,000 Coins. This is, by far, the best way to profit from Diamonds.

Unfortunately, this Job quest is extremely rare, and you may go an entire playthrough without encountering it even once. Our recommendation is to keep at least one Diamond in reserve in your personal storage for the off chance that this Job does pop up in your game. Otherwise, sell or gift the remaining Diamonds in your storage. Saving all of them for the Job Board is very unlikely to pay off.
