OnePlus Is Exiting the US Market

The maker of the best Android phone around – the OnePlus 15 – is not long for these shores. OnePlus has announced that it is departing the US and European mobile phone markets. That means none of its new phones will be released in either market, although you'll still be able to buy existing for-sale models while their stock holds out.

It's not all bad news for current OnePlus owners. The company says that, where applicable, devices already out in the wild "will keep getting the software updates, security patches, and after-sales support." OnePlus' customer support will remain available, it will honor existing warranties, and repair services will stay available to OnePlus owners. Users will still be able to update to the next version of the phone's custom Android version, ColorOS 17, but only if their phone is already supported.

Unfortunately, the company is shuttering the US version of its community forums, starting on August 16th, 2026. The company says posts will be unavailable after that, so users who want to keep theirs will have to "save them manually before that date."

This also means that we'll be on the hunt for a new favorite smartphone. Samsung will take a crack at that title next week when it's expected to unveil the next iteration of the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold devices. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 will take the stage at the next Made by Google event on August 12.
