Funko has turned so many people, characters, and creatures into Pops that in 2023, it handed the reins over to the collectors via its Pop Yourself program. Three years later, that program is about to get its very first Pokemon crossover.

Turn Yourself Into A Funko Pop Pokemon Trainer

Funko has been adding customization options to Pop Yourself at a steady pace since 2023, whether those options are connected to IP like the new Pokemon crossover or simply a wider range of hairstyles and facial features so more people can create Funko Pops in their own image.

The first look at the new Pokemon customization options, shared by Funko Pop News, includes four different trainer outfits. They’re all pretty basic, two with shoulder bags and two with backpacks, but all of them are unmistakably the kind of thing your trainer would wear to kick off a Pokemon game, and not just because they all have Poke Ball emblems embroidered onto the chest.

Although the first look at the new Pop Yourself accessories doesn’t confirm what exactly the companion Pokemon are, they will almost certainly be Bitty Pops. Pop Yourself has various Bitty Pop animals that you can include as companions, and it looks like we’re about to have some Pokemon added to the growing list of pet options.

Pick Your Bitty Pop Partner Pokemon Wisely

Gary's Squirtle

The five options that will kick off Pokemon’s Pop Yourself range are somewhat predictable, but that doesn’t make their imminent additions any less exciting. Especially when the idea here is to create a Funko Pop that looks like a Pokemon trainer who's about to embark on their first big adventure.

That’s why all of the Pop Yourself Pokemon companions are the five Pokemon that have been partner options when venturing across Kanto. Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle from Red & Blue, Pikachu in Yellow and Let’s Go Pikachu, and Eevee, your starter Pokemon in Let’s Go Eevee.

Time to make that painful choice all over again. At least you have five Pokemon to choose from this time.

It’s unclear when exactly these Pokemon options will be added to the Pop Yourself website. Their reveal comes only days after Pop Yourself’s first Spider-Man customization options were revealed, and those will be made available during San Diego Comic-Con, just in time for the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Pop Yourself may get a Pokemon section that same weekend, which is only a little more than a week away.
