Watch Dogs Might Not Be Dead After All, As A Switch 2 Collection Has Seemingly Leaked
George is an expert on platformers, action games, and fighters, but tends to play as many releases as possible. This hands-on experience lets him dive into gaming communities and follow the latest trends.
Some of the games George has extensively covered first-hand include Dead Rising, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and Ninja Gaiden 4.
A notable retailer in the Czech Republic has listed a Watch Dogs: Dedsec Collection for the Switch 2, suggesting the series isn’t as dead as we all assumed.
Without a doubt, one of the biggest tragedies of the modern Ubisoft era is what happened to Watch Dogs. While the first game was a little underwhelming thanks to an E3 demo that oversold it, it was still a decent game. Watch Dogs 2, on the other hand, was an absolute gem that did everything right and deserved much better than it got.
If you don’t believe me, take a look at Watch Dogs 2’s recent player count and reviews after it went on sale.
Sadly, the disappointing Watch Dogs Legion didn’t perform to Ubisoft’s expectations, leaving the franchise sitting in the dark for the past five years. It’s been reported that Watch Dogs as a series is basically dead, but that might not actually be the case, as a retailer has listed a collection that could be coming to the Switch 2.
Czech Republic Retailer Lists Watch Dogs Collection For Switch 2
It’s Not Much, But We’ll Take It
As pointed out by Twitter user astrogo360, notable Czech Republic retailer Alza recently uploaded a listing for a Watch Dogs Dedsec Collection for Nintendo Switch 2. The alleged collection will contain the first game, Watch Dogs 2, and Watch Dogs Legion (hopefully including the standout Bloodlines DLC), bringing the whole series to the Switch 2.
Strangely, the listing, which was originally spotted by Twitter user WenaBeta, has been taken down from the site since it went live. The link is still active on the site, but now leads to a broken page. It’s not clear if Alza leaked the game’s existence far too early and is trying to cover it up or realised it’s not a legitimate release, but it’s worth taking with a grain of salt.
While I’d love to believe that a Watch Dogs collection is coming to Switch 2 and giving the franchise a new lease of life, all three games coming in one collection seems a little unlikely, even on a Game Key Card. Couple that with the clearly placeholder date of March 31, and there’s a good chance that the listing isn’t correct. Here’s hoping it’s real, though, and that we hear more soon.
