Destiny 2: Best Titan Arc Build (Monument of Triumph)
Storm's Keep has always been an integral part of the Arc Titan for DPS, which is why we've crafted the ultimate Arc Titan build using Storm's Keep + The Queenbreaker + Luminopotent + Cuirass of the Falling Star to provide you with a build that's all about boss DPS with handy ad-clearing survival thrown in too. This build is all about deploying your Rally Barricade to build and use quick stacks of Bolt Charge for immense DPS, Super gain, and health. Here's how the build works!
Arc Titan Subclass Setup: Aspects and Fragments
Aspects
| Aspect | Description | Why It's Useful |
|---|---|---|
| Storm's Keep | Cast your class ability to grant a moderate amount of Bolt Charge stacks to you and nearby allies. While behind your Barricade, you and your allies gain stacks of Bolt Charge over time, and your weapons can discharge max stacks of Bolt Charge. | Just by using your Class Ability, you're going to repeatedly use Bolt Charge to amplify weapon damage during boss phases. |
| Knockout | Critically wounding a target or breaking their shield infuses your melee attacks with Arc energy and increases your melee range against combatants and melee damage against combatants and Guardians for a short time. Defeating targets with melee attacks makes you amplified and restores a portion of your health. Defeating more powerful combatants increases the amount of health restored. | The defensive fail-safe which will come into play if you're in trouble, as you can turn melee strikes into powerful health-granting punches (that also grant amplified). |
Fragments
| Fragment | Description | Why It's Useful |
|---|---|---|
| Spark of Resistance | While surrounded by combatants, you are more resistant to incoming damage. +10 Melee | Extra passive damage resistance is always nice! |
| Spark of Frequency | Melee hits increase your equipped weapon's reload speed and stability for a short duration. While amplified, the effects are increased, and you gain increased stacks of Bolt Charge from all sources. | The main reason to use this Fragment is because of the increased stacks of Bolt Charge, and you're always going to be amplified with this build anyway. The reload speed bonus from melee hits is a nice bonus. |
| Spark of Discharge | Arc weapon final blows have a chance to create an Ionic Trace. Collecting an Ionic Trace grants you a stack of Bolt Charge. -10 Melee | You will be using Arc Energy and Power weapons, so you're going to have more Ionic Traces, and more Ionic Traces mean more Bolt Charge. |
| Spark of Ions | Defeating a jolted target or defeating a target with Bolt Charge creates an Ionic Trace. | You will get even more Bolt Charge, since the weapons in this build will jolt enemies, and when said jolted enemies are killed, that's more Ionic Traces, which is more Bolt Charge! |
Abilities
| Ability | Description | Why It's Useful |
|---|---|---|
| Thundercrash (Super) | Hurtle through the air like a missile and crash into targets to inflict meteoric damage. | This is the ultimate Super for Arc Titans for boss damage and for just clearing out Champions or any other threat in your way. |
| Rally Barricade (Class) | Creates a small barrier that you can peek over while aiming down sights; increases weapon reload speed, stability, and range. Draws hostile fire when you stand behind it. | A faster cooldown than Towering Barricade that also generates faster weapon reload speed, so you can continue firing and gaining Bolt Charge. |
| Thunderclap (Melee) | Hold, then release to unleash a devastating blast of Arc energy. | A quick Thunderclap will deal great damage and kill most ads it touches to give you health back. |
| Pulse Grenade | A grenade that periodically damages targets within its radius. | Continuous damage is nice for triggering Ionic Traces and Bolt Charge thanks to its Arc energy. |
The Queenbreaker & Important Weapon Synergies
The Queenbreaker
Your Exotic weapon is the Queenbreaker, and it will only come into play against Champions and Bosses. With the alternate fire mode, the Queenbreaker can deal great burst damage, and with its Arc synergy, it's going to be a monster for stacking precision damage and Bolt Charge, especially with how it works with the Tablet of Ruin (shown below).
Jolting Feedback + Rolling Storm Energy Weapon
Your main weapon when you're not fighting a boss is going to be an Arc weapon with Jolting Feedback and Rolling Storm (like the Voltaic Shade from the Equilibrium Dungeon). Jolting Feedback will jolt enemies that take repeated damage (and being amplified makes them jolt faster). Rolling Storm will generate Bolt Charge with final blows (which is also increased when amplified). This weapon becomes your lifeline for fast Bolt Charge activations.
Primary Weapon Choice (Preferably Strand + Energy)
You're going to want to run a Special Ammo weapon as your primary, and since the Tablet of Ruin perks complement Strand weapons and Fusion Rifles, the Scatter Signal is your best choice. Use Slice and Controlled Burst because Slice will sever targets on hit once you cast your class ability (which you will be doing a lot), and Controlled Burst grants increased damage and a reduced charge time if you land every shot. This is your close-range strong-combatant melter weapon.
Arc Armor: Luminopotent & Cuirass of the Falling Star (With Mods & Stats)
Luminopotent Armor Set & Stat Rolls
The Luminopotent Armor from Fireteam and Solo Vanguard Ops is essential for this build, as the Armor Set bonuses greatly complement Arc, Fusion Rifles, Linear Fusion Rifles, and Heat weapons, and you're using all of those for this build. Here's why:
| Set Bonus | Description | Why It's Useful |
|---|---|---|
| Ionic Overclock | While amplified, your Fusion Rifles, Linear Fusion Rifles, and Heat weapons gain increased handling, reload, and vent speeds. | You use all three of these weapons, and you're always going to be amplified, so an increase to reload is always a nice touch. |
| Shock and Clear | Final blows with Jolt or against jolted combatants create Ionic Traces. | Even more Ionic Traces generation, which means even more Bolt Charge, and this is all thanks to your Energy Weapon with Jolting Feedback. |
When it comes to farming for armor stats, focus on Super, Class, and Weapons. Super is the most important stat, as that's your main damage-dealing ability. However, Class is important as you need Rally Barricades to build Bolt Charge with your team, and Weapons is also great because the more damage, the merrier!
Cuirass of the Falling Star
Your Exotic of choice is the Cuirass of the Falling Star Chest Armor, because it will greatly increase your Thundercrash damage. Plus, Melee final blows when amplified grant Super energy, so not only do you have a nice way of getting your Super back faster, but you're going to be topping the damage charts against bosses with your Super.
If you like hot-swapping builds between DPS and ad-clearing, then An Insurmountable Skullfort is a great Exotic Helmet to use until you swap back to Cuirass for DPS, and this is due to Skullfort's ability to restore Thunderclap and trigger health regeneration.
Armor Mods Setup
| Armor | Mods | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Head | Super Font Dynamo Harmonic Siphon | Having an Armor Charge grants a bonus to your Super stat. Casting your Rally Barricade near enemies grants Super energy. Generate Orbs of Power with Arc kills. |
| Arms | Heavy Handed Harmonic Loader Harmonic Dexterity | Melee final blows generate Orbs of Power. Increase your Arc weapon reload speed. Ready and stow speed for Arc weapons is increased. |
| Chest | Concussive Dampener Sniper Damage Resistance Arc/Solar/Void Resistance | Incoming area-of-effect damage is reduced. Incoming long-range damage is reduced. Incoming elemental damage of your choice is reduced. |
| Legs | Elemental Charge Arc Weapon Surge Orbs of Restoration | Collecting Ionic Traces grants Armor Charge. Arc weapons deal more damage while you have Armor Charge. Collecting Orbs of Power grants energy to your lowest-charged ability. |
| Class Item | Reaper Time Dilation Powerful Attraction | Cast your Rally Barricade, and the next kill grants an Orb of Power. Armor Charges decay much more slowly, so you can enjoy Super Font and Arc Weapon Surge for longer. Casting Rally Barricade automatically sucks up nearby Orbs of Power. |
Tablet of Ruin (Artifact Perks Breakdown)
The Tablet of Ruin was essential for the Episode Heresy Bolt Charge meta, and it's just as important once again with Monument of Triumph. Here are the Artifact Perks we're running, and why:
| Perk | Description | Why It's Useful |
|---|---|---|
| Unraveling Orbs | Picking up an Orb of Power or a Tangle grants Strand weapons Unraveling Rounds. | Your Strand Primary will now have Unraveling Rounds. |
| Dielectric | Defeating Arc-debuffed targets grants Bolt Charge. Rapidly defeating Arc-debuffed targets spawns an Orb of Power and heals a small portion of health. | You're always going to be using Jolting Feedback to Jolt targets, which is an Arc-debuff, which will now restore health, grant Orbs of Power, and Bolt Charge. |
| Flashover | When you gain maximum Bolt Charge, you also become amplified. Lightning bolts deal more damage. | You will always get maximum Bolt Charge, which means you will always be amplified, and said Bolt Charge now deals more damage. |
| Gold From Lead | Picking up Special ammo has the chance to grant Heavy ammo. | Your Special Ammo and Heavy Ammo weapons will work together to generate ammo. |
| Elemental Siphon | Rapid final blows with a Kinetic weapon or a weapon matching your equipped Super create an Elemental pickup that matches your equipped Super. Elemental pickups grant matching Super energy when they are collected. | Your Arc Energy Weapon will create Ionic Traces, and said Ionic Traces are going to grant Super energy. |
| Particle Reconstruction | Dealing sustained damage with Fusion Rifles or Linear Fusion Rifles partially refills the magazine from reserves and grants them bonus damage for a short duration against that target. | Fusion Rifles and Linear Fusion Rifles will never need to be reloaded if you just keep sustained fire on enemies, and their damage will be increased. |
| Limit Break | Casting a Super while you are critically wounded or have an elemental buff matching your Super elements grants a period of increased Super damage. | When you are amplified, use your Thundercrash Super to deal even more Super damage. |
