GTA Online: How to Disable the Laser Grid in the Kortz Center Heist
The laser grid is the final security check in the Kortz Center Heist, and it just might be the hardest one in any GTA Online heist. If you touch the lasers, you will alert the police and end your stealth run, which is why it's vital for you to know how to deactivate the lasers with little stress. Below, we'll share how the lasers work and a full walkthrough of deactivating all three laser sections so you can safely reach the vault and enjoy your spoils.
How the Kortz Center Laser Grid Works
When you reach the laser grid in the Kortz Center Heist, you will be tasked with finding and deactivating three panels on the wall. Each panel will deactivate the lasers you just passed, giving you more of a safety net behind you while you plan your next move.
If a laser touches you, the police will be alerted, and alarms will ring around the Kortz Center, indicating that you have failed to pass them in stealth. You can keep going, but stealth isn't an option anymore.
Being in first person will help you navigate through the lasers more easily, and you can also press Square/X to jump in place over the floor lasers, and press L3 to duck below lasers that are too high to jump over.

If you fail and quick restart, the alarms will automatically be tripped, so the only way to return to stealth is by quitting the heist and trying again from the planning board.
How to Disable All Three Lasers in the Kortz Center Heist (Step-By-Step)
Step 1: The Left Wall Panel (Vertical Laser Sweep)
- After the cutscene, head through the open gap between the first set of lasers and hug the wall to the left.
- You can view the power box to disable the laser grid, but wait for the two lasers to disappear before you interact with it.
Step 2: The Right Wall Panel (Floor Laser Sweep)
- With the first panel disabled, head to the right wall.
- There's a gap between the two "X" shaped lasers, but there's also a laser sweeping the floor.
- As soon as the laser sweeping the floor disappears, run between the two "X" lasers and deactivate the power box.
Step 3: The Final Wall Panel (Crouch Laser Sweep)
- With the second panel disabled, head to the middle and squeeze between the lasers.
- There will be a set of lasers slowly coming towards you, so just press L3 to crouch under them.
- When the lasers pass, wait for there to be a gap between the lasers to reach the vault door.
- Head to the left wall by the vault to deactivate the final laser power box.
