How to Get Bot Lobbies in Black Ops 2 (XP Lobby Glitch)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is on PS4 and PS5, and with everyone starting fresh at level one, some players may be looking to level up fast. Luckily for some, an old glitch to get bot lobbies and some cheap XP has been rediscovered once again. Here is how to set up bot lobbies in Black Ops 2 to start earning XP and level up fast.
How to Get Bot Lobbies in Black Ops 2
Before you complete the steps to create a bot lobby, you will first need a friend and potentially four other players. From here, have your friend sit in the Multiplayer Lobby (the one where you look for a Public Match) and set their Players Part Limit to 6. This can be done via the Part Privacy Settings (Square on PlayStation).
Once that's done, complete the following steps:
- Head to the main Multiplayer Menu.
- Ensure you have the Friends Menu option in the bottom right corner of your screen (if this does not appear, disable your internet connection in your PlayStation settings or head to Zombies and then back to the Multiplayer Menu).
- Go to Lan Party and then hover over Create Game.
- Hit Triangle to open the Friends Menu and then find your friend and join their game.
- Once you see the 'Joining Session in Progress' message, hit X and then Circle right after it disappears. Repeat this a couple of times until you are in the Multiplayer Lobby with your Level visible and a 0 next to your name.
- Invite your friend.
- When your friend joins, their name should be replaced with 'Matched Player' and the game should automatically start. From here, simply end the game.
- Back in the lobby, be sure to set up Bots and change the Time Limit and mode to whatever you like.
- Invite four other people to get your lobby to 6 players total, or set up Splitscreen.
Once all of these steps have been done, you can then simply start the match. All bots eliminated in this match will count towards both Player Level and Weapon XP, allowing you to farm kills and level up fast.
Other Bot Lobby Methods in Black Ops 2
The above method can definitely be tricky, and some players might actually be unable to get a total of six other players in their games. If that's the case, here are two other methods you can try:
- Play Bootcamp Combat Training: Only available for those at levels 1 to 10.
- Play Objective Combat Training: Available to everyone, but XP earn rates are halved.
