High Quality Pal Oils can be obtained from multiple sources in Palworld. Early on, the best way to get this crafting material is by hunting Woolipops near the Ravine Entrance waypoint west of the Small Settlement. Later, you can get even more High Quality Pal Oils in Palworld by hunting Mammorests. Alternatively, you can passively generate pal oils by having a few Dumuds occupy one of your Ranches back at base.

Best Ways to Get High Quality Pal Oils in Palworld

Woolipops are the most reliable sources of High Quality Pal Oil during the early stages of the game. They're not particularly hard to hunt, and there are tons of them roaming around the highlands past the Ravine Entrance waypoint to the west of the Hill of Beginnings.

Bring any Pal with you, and lay waste to the local Woolipop population until you have the High Quality Pal Oils you need for whatever you're trying to make.

Mammorests

Once you get a little stronger, cease your atrocities against the Woolipops and move onto hunting Mammorests. You get more High Quality Pal Oils per Mammorest you kill compared to Woolipops, so as long as you can melt their health bars fast enough, hunting these guys should yield more Pal oils per minute than Woolipops.

Mammorests are very weak against Fire damage. I highly recommend bringing a Tanzee Ignis or any Fire Pal that has hard-hitting attack skills. They'll be more than enough to take down Mammorests by themselves, but if you want to join the fight, then bring a Crossbow with Fire Arrows.

Mammorests can also be found close to where the Woolipops are.

Dumuds

Much like the two Pals above, Dumuds also drop High Quality Pal Oil when killed. However, they appear in fewer numbers compared to Mammorests and Woolipops, so the guns-blazing approach won't be as efficient (unless you're in a high-density spawn zone).

The good news is that Dumuds can be assigned to a Ranch, and if you leave them be, they'll eventually drop High Quality Pal Oil for you. This method isn't as fast as actively hunting Pals, but it's great if you want to focus on doing something else.

You can find plenty of Dumuds along the shores of the big volcano island to the west of the starting zone.

Try finding Dumuds with at least the Work Slave passive so they'll produce things faster.

Where to Buy High Quality Pal Oil

If you have enough Gold, you can instead just buy large quantities of High Quality Pal Oil from the red-coat Wandering Merchant at Duneshelter, the small NPC town in the desert to the far north of the Hill of Beginnings. Each unit of oil costs 300 Gold, so you best have plenty of money lying around.

You can farm Gold in Palworld through a variety of different ways. Most of them involves producing goods in your base and selling them to merchants. You can also try putting some Maus in a Ranch and passively generate Gold from there, but selling goods is usually more efficient.
