Digimon UP - How to Make Your Partner Stronger
Your Partner is the core of every team in Digimon UP, and as you progress through the game, you need to make it stronger to overcome many challenges. A more powerful Partner not only performs better in battle but also makes it easier to clear story stages, complete challenging content like Dungeons and PvP battles, and unlock new progression milestones.
Digimon UP offers several ways to increase your Partner's power, from leveling up and Digivolving to upgrading its skills and improving its overall stats. This guide explains how to make your Partner stronger in Digimon UP, covering the best and fastest methods to maximize its Combat Power.
How To Make Your Partner Stronger in Digimon UP

To make your partner stronger in Digimon UP, there are essentially 9 different methods you can use:
- Level Up Your Tamer
- Level Up Your Partner Digimon
- Equip Your Tamer With Gear
- Equip Your Digivice With Technology Unlocks
- Equip Floppy Disks
- Equip & Level Up Support Cards
- Feed Your Partner Digimon
- Train Your Partner Digimon
- Evolve Your Partner Digimon
How To Level Up Your Partner & Tamer in Digimon UP
Leveling up your Tamer and increasing your Rank will happen naturally as you progress through the stages and defeat bosses and enemies. The Tamer Level also increases by activating the Hologram Device and selling old gear. This process can be automated by clicking on the "gear" icon next to the Hologram Device, but players will need Hologram tickets to make it work.
Increasing your Tamer Level will increase your Digimon Stats and the power of its Skills, making your Partner Stronger with each level. The same can be said about leveling up your Partner, which gains experience as you defeat new enemies in the Battle Stages and sell old gear earned with the Hologram Device.
Leveling up your Partner can only be done through this method, which naturally locks you out of the level progression until you have enough Holographic Tickets. This is the level Hard Cap you need to overcome as a Tamer.
To do so, participate in the Demidevimon Dungeon twice a day, plus two extra times by watching ads to get extra tickets. You can also purchase 500 Daily Holographic Tickets for 180 Digi Emeralds, which is honestly a decent bargain.
Holographic Tickets can also be obtained through the Battle Pass, and by completing Stages, Missions, Daily Quests, and Events.
One of the most common mistakes you can make in Digimon UP, is to forget to collect your daily rewards and bonuses. Make sure to check all the tips & tricks in this guide to get the best start in this gacha game.
The rarer the gear sold from the Holographic Device, the more EXP it will yield both for the Digimon Partner and the Tamer.
How To Evolve Your Partner in Digimon UP
To evolve your Partner in Digimon UP, players need to Raise their level, then, when the Green Triangle Icon appears over their head, go to the Partner Menu, then select Digi-Evolve.
Digimon Evolve from the In-Training I Stage to the In-Training II Stage at level 5. Then, from In-Training II to Rookie at level 20. Evolving from Rookie to Champion is unlocked at level 40, from Champion to Ultimate at level 65, and finally, from Ultimate to Mega at level 90.
Evolving increases their stats exponentially and also unlocks Passive Skills and new attack Skills that will boost the Digimon's Power.
How To Train Your Partner in Digimon UP
Training requires Training Tickets, which can be obtained by exploring the Digital World. These orange tokens will be needed to train each of the nodes every Partner has, and each node also requires a certain amount of time to be trained.
By training, players can increase their Partner's following stats:
- Attack Bonus % (increases base damage)
- Attack Speed ((increases base attack speed)
- Critical Rate % (increases chances to land a critical hit with normal attacks)
- HP Bonus % (increases the base HP)
- Def Bonus % (increases base defense)
- Critical Damage % (increases the amount of damage when landing a critical hit)
- Critical Damage Down % (reduces incoming damage from critical hits)
- Skill Critical Damage % (increases skill damage when landing a critical hit)
- Damage Down % (decreases incoming damage from normal attacks)
- Boss Damage % (decreases incoming damage from Boss enemies)
- Skill Critical Damage Down % (decreases incoming damage from Skill Criticals landed on the Partner Digimon)
- HP Recovery Rate % (increases self-healing during battle)
- Skill Critical Rate % (increases the chances to land a critical hit with regular attacks)
- Airborne Rate % (increases the time an enemy Digimon gets stunned when landing the Airborne effect)
- Boss Damage Down % (decreases the damage a Boss enemy causes on Partner Digimon)
Increasing these stats will strengthen a Partner Digimon and allow tamers to overcome the most difficult Combat Stages, and of course, to reach new heights of power by accumulating EXP, gear, and evolving their Partners.
How To Feed Your Partner in Digimon UP
Feeding is an extra mini-game players can engage in to get Digi Meat by Farming and then feeding their Partner Digimon to increase their Feeding Level.
Each time they feed their Partner Digimon, they will unlock a random buff that can be of a certain "rarity." This weird gacha game will also have Levels, meaning: The more you feed, the more levels you unlock, and the more chances you have to gain a rarer buff with a more powerful effect.
Plus, leveling up feeding unlocks new buff slots, and buffs can be locked to prevent them from resetting each time you feed your Digimon. However, players must have at least one "unlocked" buff slot at all times to feed their Digimon.
So, the way to increase their Digimon power by feeding them is to Farm Digi Meat every day, unlock new levels of the assistants in the farm, and feed their Digimon constantly to increase the rarity and power of the buffs it gains.
Equipping Gear & Plugins in Digimon UP
In Digimon UP, equipping Gear (Costumes) to your Tamer and Plugins will unlock more stats and empower your Partner Digimon.
These items are obtained through the Holographic Device and come in the following Rarities:
- Normal (N)
- Rare (R)
- High Rare (HR)
- Super Rare (SR)
- Super Super Rare (SSR)
- Ultra Rare (UR)
- Golden Rare (GR)
- Luxurious Rare (LR)
- Luxurious Rare+ (LRp)
- Extra Rare (ER)
- Extra Rare + (ER+)
Increasing the Level of the Holographic Device will increase the chances of rarer items dropping, and ultimately, at level 30, will eliminate all lower-quality items from the pool, leaving only Super Rare to Extra Rare + items.
How To Unlock Digivice & Technology in Digimon UP
Tamers can unlock their Digivice starting at Level 15. They can collect Digivice parts to further enhance their Partner's abilities.
Each Digivice part can be obtained at random through "Function Research" and can be enhanced using DigiChips.
DigiChips can be obtained in the "Network Defense Ops" dungeon. They can also use DigiChips to upgrade each part to increase the stats they give to Partner Digimon. The more they level them up, the more Chips they will consume to level up.
Tamers can also change their Digivice's appearance to that of another Digivice, though this doesn't change its functions. Acquiring new Digivice forms and customizing them can be done through the Camp Store.
How to Equip & Level Up Support Digimon
Support Digimon will join the team and attack alongside the Partner Digimon. These Digimon can be upgraded by collecting Cards summoned using Pink Tickets.
There are two ways to obtain stats from Support Digimon: The Total Passive Bonus and the Intrinsic Passive Bonuses of each Support Digimon equipped.
As you can see in the example above, the Total Passive Bonus of all collected Support Digimon Cards is 874%, which adds ATK, DEF, and HP to the Partner Digimon stats.
Looking at Icemon, on the other hand, has a Passive Bonus of 12.000% (12%), but the important thing is its Stats: Critical Rate 2%, Critical Damage 2.2%, Normal Attack Damage 8.64%. These values are added to the total of the Support Party and also enhance the Partner Digimon's attacks and stats.
Players might also have noticed the Level Up and Auto Equip Button. The first one will automatically merge duplicate Support Digimon Cards to level them up. The second button will equip the optimal Support Digimon Team for your partner, considering its base stats and the Support Digimon Cards' level and Rarity.
