Play some Hide-and-Sneak when you need a break from rebuilding Kanto
New Pokémon Pokopia limited-time event announced, and it stars the cutie patootie Zorua
Pokémon Pokopia's last limited-time event brought the mythical wish-granting Pokémon Jirachi to the game. While the next event won't include any new Pokémon, it will star an adorable one. On Wednesday, The Pokémon Company announced that Zorua's Hide-and-Sneak Contest will start on July 19.
Zorua will be waiting to get the contest started at any rebuilt Pokémon Center, and you'll have plenty of time to throw one together before the event starts if you're in need of a Center. You can also go to another player's world or head to Cloud Island to get the contest rolling together and start competing for high scores.
Like previous contests, competing in Zorua's Hide-and-Sneak Contest will earn you special prizes, including a trophy to decorate your habitats. Previous events, like Bulbasaur's jump rope contest, offered berries and PokéMetal among their rewards.
Zorua's contest starts July 19 at 5:00 a.m. local time and runs until July 27 at 4:59 a.m. After that, Pokopia's first paid expansion, Bubbly Basin, is right around the corner.
Pokémon Pokopia was released on March 5 and instantly became one of the Switch 2's must-play and highest-rated games. Polygon found it a little grindy, but still very enjoyable in our review. If you've yet to dive into Pokémon Pokopia, you can get it as part of a limited-time Nintendo Switch 2 bundle for $499.99 — quite the deal, considering the Switch 2's looming price increase.
