Resident Evil Requiem's story DLC is still coming, but it may not arrive until after Resident Evil Veronica launches. While fans might have a longer wait than they'd like, the newest claims indicate that Resident Evil Requiem's story DLC could be quite substantial.

Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem has shared some new information they've heard pertaining to the Requiem DLC and upcoming Resident Evil Veronica game. Dusk Golem claims that Capcom is shifting its battle plan for Resident Evil, and as a result, it will be producing longer story DLC in line with the length of campaigns like Separate Ways and Shadow of Rose in the Resident Evil 4 remake and Resident Evil Village, respectively. Dusk Golem states that Capcom has "had an issue" with side games in recent history, and that switching to longer story DLC campaigns is a "temporary solution" Capcom is utilizing. Perhaps as a result, Dusk Golem notes that the story DLC will drop sometime after Resident Evil Veronica launches. If accurate, Resident Evil Veronica is slated for release in 2027, so players may end up waiting a while for any extensions to the Resident Evil Requiem story.
