The uses for Palworld Meteorite Fragments aren't immediately obvious, and this might be one of the rare resources you find before you go looking for it. Meteors randomly fall from the sky, and their arrival is indicated by large red text in the middle of the screen, suggesting a very important event. And this isn't to say that it's not, as if you're looking to catch every Pal you definitely want to head to a meteorite location to catch some out-of-this-world Pals - and you can grab plenty of these fragments while you're at it.
However, once you've got the rocks in your inventory, you may be wondering what to do with them, and their recipes don't show themselves unless you have already caught the appropriate Pals, either. So I've listed every recipe for Palworld Meteorite Fragments below, and how to get them if by chance you've heard them mentioned but haven't found them yet.
Palworld Meteorite Fragment uses
These are the uses for Palworld Meteorite Fragments so far:
- Meteor Launcher
- Meteorite Ammo
- Paldium Fragment
- Selyne saddle
- Neptilius saddle
- Xenogard saddle
- Xenolord saddle
The most valuable items here are the Pal saddles, allowing you to ride flying mount Selyne, water mount Neptilius, and ground mounts Xenogard and Xenolord. These Pals themselves are hard to come by, though, with the 'easiest' being Xenogard, who has a chance to spawn at Meteorite Events in high-level areas. The others are bosses, so you'll just want to keep your Meteorite Fragments saved up until you catch them.
The Meteor Launcher is a cool weapon used for hurling Meteor Ammo at opponents, but sadly it isn't as powerful as the existing Rocket Launcher, so it's not really worth crafting, especially since the ammo for the Rocket Launcher requires much cheaper resources.
Overall, Meteorite Fragments aren't that useful - yet. Since Meteorite Fragments were a new resource added with the 1.0 update, but don't seem to have much value yet, it might be worth keeping any extras you find stashed away at your base in case of future recipes and uses for the purple rocks.
How to get Palworld Meteorite Fragments

If you haven't witnessed a Meteorite Event yet, these are events that take place randomly and sporadically across Palpagos Islands. You don't need to worry too much though, as if one occurs near you, you'll see an unmissable notice splashed across the center of your screen.
At the meteor site, a few fragments can be found on the ground, and at least 30 fragments can then be obtained by mining the large meteor itself.
To find the meteor, simply look at your map for the nearby meteor icon. The drop site spawns a few special Pals: Selyne, Xenovader, and Xenogard. There will always be at least two of any of these Pals at each site, but it's most likely to be Xenovader. Xenogard has a chance of appearing in high-level areas, while Selyne is guaranteed at Meteorite Events on Sakurajima.
Some Syndicate Thugs will beat you to the site, but the Pal arrivals should make quick work of them. They will then wander off, so if you aren't quick enough to the site, you may not be able to catch the Pals. However, this may be a good thing if you're still a low level. That said, the fact that they leave makes it easier to go and farm fragments.
