Xbox Game Pass is set to lose ten games later today, July 15. It is not all bad news, however, because Microsoft previously signaled that the upcoming wave of Xbox Game Pass departures would be even larger.

As is often the case, the July 15 removals appeared in the Xbox app at the start of the month, before Microsoft officially announced them. Those early listings once again proved not to be entirely accurate, as they identified 12 Xbox Game Pass departures.

Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Removal List Is Shorter Than Expected, Yet Still Lengthy

According to the Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 lineup for July 2026, the upcoming departures span only ten games in total. The list includes Golf With Your Friends, Whiskerwood, and PowerWash Simulator, together with Stellaris, Techtonica, and EA Sports FC 24. Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Minami Lane are also leaving next, as is Dungeons of Hinterberg. The final title in the removal wave is Splitgate: Arena Reloaded. Because it is free to play, its departure from Xbox Game Pass only means subscribers will lose access to certain membership-exclusive perks.

Minami Lane is a hand-drawn management sim that was originally added to Xbox Game Pass in July 2025. It was not on the list of the 12 titles supposedly leaving earlier this month, with its departure only formally confirmed as part of the Wave 1 roadmap for July 2026.

Meanwhile, two titles previously listed as leaving soon will remain on the service for now: Back to the Dawn and My Friendly Neighborhood. Based on Microsoft's usual practices, there is a realistic chance that both will still depart in the near future and were simply listed prematurely.

Test your knowledge.

Xbox Game Pass already has a variety of confirmed releases for the second half of the month, even though its Wave 2 lineup has yet to be announced. The upcoming titles include open-world BMX game Mavrix by Matt Jones, futuristic roguelite Fogpiercer, and colorful co-op extraction platformer FixForce. The Planet Crafter and Halo: Campaign Evolved are also scheduled to reach Xbox Game Pass before the end of the month, on July 21 and July 28, respectively.
